Student Wins Medal: Lisa Hecker, a student at Capistrano Valley High School, has been awarded a bronze medal for her work in attaining high standards in science subjects. The award, presented annually to junior high school students in about 6,000 schools throughout the United States, is presented by Bausch & Lomb Inc. of Rochester, N.Y. Hecker, of San Juan Capistrano, will be eligible for one of several four-year scholarships at the University of Rochester, school Principal Tom Anthony said.
