Bosworth’s Kind Defeat Purpose of the Draft
So the great Brian Bosworth has issued the edict that he will only play pro football for the Jets, Giants, Rams or Raiders, huh? Of course, it’s only incidental that these teams are located in the nation’s major media centers, where the Boz could merchandise his off-the-wall personality to its most lucrative advantage.
More and more it seems that athletes, with heads the size of basketballs and brains the size of Ping-Pong balls, are trying to dictate which teams they’ll play for. Such selfish attitudes defeat the purpose of the draft, which is competitive parity throughout the leagues, and can only have a damaging affect in the long run.
Here’s hoping the Sooner Sap goes to Tampa Bay or Green Bay. And gets cut in summer camp.
