East German leader Erich Honecker has agreed to make an unprecedented visit to West Germany but has not set a date, the state-run East German news agency ADN quoted him as saying. The trip has been planned several times, but it invariably was canceled when relations between East Germany and West Germany cooled or when the Soviet Union pressured East Germany.
