Houston Rocket forward Ralph Sampson said he would become a free agent because the Rockets have not offered him a contract similar to that of teammate Akeem Olajuwon.

Sampson, completing a 4-year, $5.5-million contract, said he expected a deal similar to the 12-year, $2.5-million-per-year contract that Olajuwon received last November.
