Pasadena : Caltech Professors Honored
Caltech professors Ahmed Zewail and Edwin S. Munger have been given special awards. Zewail, professor of chemical physics, has received a Guggenheim Fellowship for his pioneering work in developing laser techniques for recording the behavior of molecules during chemical reactions.
Munger, professor of geography, has been given the Southern Sector California State Conference award of the National Assn. for the Advancement of Colored People. The award was given for Munger’s “continuing struggle for justice and equality,” as an NAACP member for 40 years.
