Gerard Pasterick has resigned, effective immediately, as president of Guild Wineries and Distilleries, a Lodi, Calif., marketing cooperative owned by wine-grape growers. Guild produces mostly jug wines under the Cribari label and low-cost sparkling wine under the Cook’s brand.

Pasterick, 47, headed the cooperative for three years and is credited with restoring its profitability, said Guild Chairman Ken Seibert. Pasterick pioneered the use of 1.5-liter packages resembling milk cartons for Cribari wines last year.

Guild officials said Pasterick “will pursue various business opportunities in the beverage industry” and that a new president will be named soon.
