Share

We were scanning the illustrious credits of Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson, the brains behind “Beverly Hills Cop II,” the summer sockeroo. In the press-kit production notes, we noticed the absence of a certain stinkero.

We’re talking about “Thief of Hearts,” the 1984 romantic thriller that came and went very quickly. It was the first film to be made under Simpson-Bruckheimer Prods.’ deal with Paramount.

Digging into the files, we found the “Thief” press kit: It began, “What do you do when your dreams come true?”
