Culver City : School Board OKs Budget Cuts
The Board of Education approved $615,000 in cuts to balance the district’s tentative $14.1-million budget in 1987-88 fiscal year.
The district saved $260,000 by reducing the size of its staff by seven teachers; those vacancies will be achieved through attrition. The board also approved cuts in bilingual services, custodial staff, maintenance expenditures and the purchasing of textbooks and other supplies.
