UCI to Meet UCLA in Basketball Dec. 17
For the first in the regular season, UCLA and UC Irvine will meet in a men’s basketball game Dec. 17 in UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion.
As part of the agreement, the Bruins will meet the Anteaters in UCI’s Bren Center in December 1989.
In the schools’ only other meeting, Irvine defeated UCLA, 80-74, in a first-round game of the 1986 National Invitation Tournament at Westwood.
