Drive Begun to Rebuild Memorial to Veterans

Share

The Fullerton Emblem Club 469 is raising $30,000 in Fullerton to construct a granite memorial to Fullerton servicemen who died in World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

An existing memorial, built of redwood, has decayed beyond repair. The club has raised about $15,000 and has plans for many upcoming events to generate necessary funds, including a fireworks booth at Placentia Avenue and Yorba Linda Boulevard for the Fourth of July.

Also, Consolidated Finance in Fullerton contributed $2,000, and a benefit dinner in May for the Veterans Memorial Project netted $1,000.
