Tom Seaver’s comeback with the New York Mets took another setback when he allowed 10 hits in four innings of a simulated game at Shea Stadium.
The 42-year-old Seaver, who threw 60 pitches, gave up four runs and called his performance “disappointing.”
“There was no improvement at all,” Seaver said. “I’m very disappointed, but I am not giving up yet.”
Met Manager Dave Johnson said: “I would like to see him pitch twice more before we make a decision.”
