The Phoenix Suns pulled off a second deal less than 30 minutes before the midnight (EST) deadline for player trades in advance of today’s college draft, sending second-year forward Ed Pinkeny and a second-round draft pick in 1988 to the Sacramento Kings for swingman Eddie Johnson.

Earlier, Phoenix traded rookie center William Bedford to the Detroit Pistons for Detroit’s first-round draft pick in 1989.
