‘No Interest in Peace’
We have no one to blame but ourselves for President Reagan supposedly sabotaging the Contadora peace plan of Central America and the Arias plan from Costa Rica.
Until any president (not just Reagan) receives a mandate from the American people that he should indeed support these plans, it will not happen. That requires the American people to become educated on these plans and to change our minds about the the use of war and other forms of violence to solve our conflicts.
Members of Congress will not provide funding for the contras if their constituents are opposed and let their voices be heard.
Thank you for bringing this most important matter to our attention. Now, we, the people, must respond if we want our leaders to vote our minds.
