With Luck, a Chimp Could Be a Champ
How about that Richard Petty? (The Budweiser 400 at Riverside) is the second Winston Cup race where he has received credit for racing, without doing it. Nice use of the rules but not a real compliment to Petty as an individual or as a racer. Within the rules, one could train a chimpanzee to drive a car on the parade lap, then insert a real race driver for the race. With luck, we could have that chimp as the NASCAR champ.
