SDC Development of Newport Beach has begun construction on its largest project, Fairway Industrial Center, a $20-million industrial park located partly in City of Industry.

Plans call for the extension of San Jose Avenue to Fairway Drive to provide access to the project.

When completed, the center will include six free-standing buildings ranging from 18,000 to 126,000 square feet. Five of the buildings will be located on unincorporated land and the sixth is to be located in City of Industry.

The 25-acre master-planned development will have 440,000 square feet of industrial space and is expected to be completed by November.

The project, owned by SDC/City of Industry Limited Partnership, is a joint venture of SDC Development and Boston-based Aldrich Eastman & Walch.

The single-story, concrete tilt-up structures were designed by William Simpson & Associates of Newport Beach. Cushman & Wakefield is handling leasing.
