Unbeaten Matthew Hilton pounded out a unanimous 15-round decision over Buster Drayton to win the International Boxing Federation junior middleweight title at Montreal.
Hilton was in control from the first round, when he knocked down Drayton with a stiff left followed by a right uppercut.
Drayton won the title last year from Carlos Santos and successfully defended it with victories over Davey Moore and Saad Skouma.
Hilton, 21, of Montreal, improved to 27-0 with 23 knockouts. Drayton, 33, of Philadelphia, is 30-10-1.
