OPEN THE DOORS: Is anyone out there still listening to the Doors? You bet. Siouxsie & the Banshees just covered “Hello, I Love You,” while the upcoming “Lost Boys” sound track has an Echo & the Bunnymen cover of “People Are Strange” (produced by ex-Door Ray Manzarek). So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that nearly 20 years after “Light My Fire” hit the top of the charts, Elektra Records is releasing the Doors first digitally remastered double-album-length CD, “The Best of the Doors.” Over at MCA, you can find the Doors on a new home video, “The Doors Live at Hollywood Bowl.” (Elektra is also issuing a sound-track EP with highlights from the set.) Later this fall, the band’s six original studio albums will also be available on digitally remastered CDs.
