Climber Hulda Crooks, 91, said in Loma Linda that she will represent that San Bernardino County city on July 22 in the 60th annual climb of Japan’s 12,388-foot Mt. Fuji. The event is sponsored by Dentsu Inc., Japan’s largest advertising agency. Crooks is the oldest person to scale 14,495-foot Mt. Whitney and is known as “Grandma Whitney.”
