The summertime rerun doldrums have set in: There was nary a new show among the top 10 programs listed in the weekly ratings, issued Tuesday by the A. C. Nielsen Co. The first 10 programs were all repeats: “The Cosby Show,” “Family Ties,” “Growing Pains,” “Cheers,” “Designing Women,” “Who’s the Boss,” “60 Minutes,” “Equalizer,” “Moonlighting” and “Newhart.” ABC’s three-hour Fourth of July extravaganza fizzled in 45th place, and NBC’s Tom Brokaw-hosted documentary on the Arabs and Israelis, “Six Days Plus 20 Years: A Dream Is Dying,” finished 56th. It was followed by “Our World,” “Dallas,” “The Wizard,” “CBS Summer Playhouse,” “Space” (part one) and “West 57th,” at the bottom of the list of 62 programs. NBC won the week, followed by ABC and CBS. The full Nielsen list appears on Page 9.
