The Nation : Wedtech Tells Higher Loss

Two former Wedtech Corp. associates bilked the now-bankrupt and scandal-ridden Bronx, N.Y., defense contractor of $315,000 more than originally believed through fraudulent billings, the company charged. An expanded lawsuit brought to $1,455,000 the amount of money the two--W. Franklyn Chinn and R. Kent London--allegedly embezzled from Wedtech through fraudulent consulting, travel and entertainment charges. Chinn has been at the center of the Wedtech influence-buying scandal that brought Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese III under investigation and Rep. Mario Biaggi (D-N.Y.) under indictment.
