A Hermosa Beach woman reported that a tailgating motorist pulled up alongside her on a Torrance street and brandished a handgun, Hermosa Beach Police Lt. Mike Lavin said. The motorist, described as a young man driving a blue BMW, then drove off without pointing the gun, said the woman, whose name was not disclosed. The woman said the driver apparently believed that she had not started up fast enough after a t1918985830came less than three weeks after Rick Lane Bynum, 24, a passenger in a car on the Santa Ana Freeway, was shot to death by a tailgating driver.
