Rosenblum Misquoted on Wyeth

Share

The Times’ review of “Andrew Wyeth: The Helga Pictures” (The Book Review, June 28) contained the following sentence: “He (Wyeth) is ‘at once the most overestimated painter by the knowing art audience,’ according to Prof. Robert Rosenblum of New York University. The quote within that sentence should have read: “at once the most overestimated painter by the public and the most underestimated painter by the knowing art audience.”
