The television comedy series “Mr. President,” starring George C. Scott, has been renewed for a second season, Fox Broadcasting Co. announced. “Mr. President” debuted in May and its renewal means Fox’s entire Sunday night lineup, including “21 Jump Street,” “Married . . . With Children,” “Duet” and “The Tracey Ullman Show” will return. Fox, meanwhile, announced that its 8 p.m. Saturday two-hour premiere of “Werewolf” won the new network’s highest Nielsen ratings ever--receiving a 7.3 rating, 16-point share, beating ABC’s repeat of “Webster” and the James Bond film “Thunderball” (6.7 rating, 14 share) and CBS’s reprise of Part Two of its “Space” miniseries (4.2 rating, 9 share). NBC’s comedy lineup had an 11.4 rating, 24 share (one rating point represents about 874,000 homes).
