Guman, Collins No Longer Among Unsigned Rams

The Rams started attending to a backlog of paper work Monday and announced the signing of veteran running back Mike Guman and linebacker Jim Collins to contracts.

That pares the number of unsigned Ram veterans to eight just five days before Sunday’s reporting deadline.

The team still has not signed its first 6 draft choices and 7 of its total of 11, which made Monday’s first practice for rookies and free agents rather shallow.

“We’re starting an Arena football team tomorrow,” Coach John Robinson quipped. “Ultimately, it could go too far. We don’t minimize that. But everyone in the league has holdouts. It’s a league-wide phenomenon.”
