Cornerback Louis Wright, who played in five Pro Bowl games during his 12 seasons in the National Football League, surprised the Denver Broncos by leaving a letter with owner Pat Bowlen’s secretary saying he was “retiring from the best organization in football.”
Wright, 34, was the second starter in the Bronco secondary to retire in the last four days. Free safety Steve Foley quit last Friday.
