Raiders : Bruce Davis Signs Contract
Bruce Davis, the Raiders’ starting left tackle, signed a contract, joined the team at Oxnard and practiced twice Saturday.
Davis, 31, has been a starter for the last two seasons, winning the team’s top lineman award in 1985 but slumping in 1986.
His signing left only veterans Don Mosebar and Shelby Jordan and rookie Bruce Wilkerson, all offensive lineman, out of camp. However, Wilkerson’s agent, Douglas Brenner, said Saturday that his client is getting close, too.
“We’re close to a meeting of the minds,” Brenner said. “There was space between us, although not monetary.”
