Last year, the foundation donated $5,000 to the elementary school substance abuse program and $20,000 to the Duarte High School athletic field improvement project, which will begin this summer. The city has donated $20,000 to the field project and the school district has given $86,000.

The foundation receives its income through donations, pledges, memberships and fund-raising activities.
