Mack Lobell, undefeated in four starts this season, is the favorite in the 62nd running of the Hambletonian--the second jewel of trotting’s Triple Crown--today at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N.J.

Mack Lobell, who won the Yonkers Trot in his first start of the season, is expected to complete the sweep in the Oct. 2 Kentucky Futurity at the Red Mile in Lexington. The last horse to win the trotting Triple Crown was Super Bowl in 1972.
