Three men said to have sought revenge in a drug deal were arrested after they allegedly kidnaped and held a woman, her 10-month-old child and boyfriend at gunpoint for more than 24 hours, Cypress police said Sunday.

The suspects allegedly kidnaped the victims and beat the woman’s boyfriend, who suffered several broken ribs during a fight inside a Cypress apartment, said Mike Idom, a Cypress police spokesman. Idom said the victims’ names are being withheld for their own safety.

The victims were released from their apartment Thursday after being held there since Tuesday night, he said.

Arrested were Rosario Miccio, 42, of La Mirada, Thomas Milton Veil, 28, of Anaheim and Russell Howard Teer, 28, a transient, police said.

“The suspects were reportedly retaliating for a drug-related rip-off against the victims, who apparently knew or were friends with the people who did the rip-off,” Idom said.

The incident began about 8 p.m. Tuesday, when three armed men confronted the woman and her infant near Holder Street and Lincoln Avenue in Cypress.

“They threatened to kill her and her 10-month-old baby if she didn’t cooperate,” Idom said.

Idom said the three men beat the woman’s boyfriend after they followed her to her apartment in Cypress.

Neither the woman nor her child were assaulted during the kidnaping.

Police were notified of the kidnaping by the victims after they were released about 1 a.m. Thursday. Idom said police obtained a search warrant for a Miccio’s La Mirada address, after he and the other men were identified by the victims as the men involved.

On Friday, Miccio and the other two men were arrested in La Mirada without incident, Idom said.

All three were booked at Orange County Jail on suspicion of kidnaping, robbery and conspiracy, police said.

Bail was set at $100,000.
