Pasadena : Scott Takes Over at PCC

Share

Jack Scott, former president of Cypress College in Orange County, has taken office as president and superintendent of Pasadena City College, replacing John Casey, who retired July 31.

One of Scott’s first duties was to name a successor to Bonnie James, the former head of finance for PCC, who is on a year’s leave to take a similar position with the Los Angeles Unified School District. James was a top contender for the PCC presidency when Scott was named to the post in April.

Scott chose Ray Ellerman, retired chancellor of the San Bernardino Community College District, to fill James’ position while he is on leave.
