Santa Clarita Panel Loses 3 to Council Race
Three officials of the City of Santa Clarita Formation Committee--including Chairman Carl Boyer III--have resigned to run for the city council of the proposed city.
Also resigning at the committee’s meeting Tuesday night were Louis Brathwaite and Gil Callowhill, who have served on the group’s steering committee.
Boyer, a government teacher, was replaced by Art Donnelly, a businessman who was one of the committee’s two vice chairmen. Also elected to committee office were Louis Garasi, who will head campaign strategy for the Nov. 3 cityhood election, and Glo Donnelly, who will be finance chairman.
