Madonna gave the first of three London concerts Tuesday night, exhorting fans to throwing their underwear onto the stage of Wembley Stadium. Others fainted from the heat and crush of the crowd of 77,000. Scotland Yard said police arrested 10 people, mostly for being drunk. At the height of her two-hour act, Madonna removed her frilly red underpants and the crowd in Wembley Stadium went wild. British celebrities attending the concert: George Michael, Bob Geldof, John Hurt and comedian John Cleese.
