Manhattan Beach : Beach Loitering Ban Voted
The City Council has unanimously adopted an ordinance that prohibits loitering on the beach from midnight to 6 a.m.
The ordinance, adopted at the request of Police Chief Ted J. Mertens, will take effect immediately. It replaces an ordinance adopted by the council last month that required a city permit for anyone wishing to use the beach between midnight and 6 a.m.
