Health Care in the U.S.
As a middle-class citizen I had the life-saving experience of being ambulanced to the Loma Linda Trauma Center.
Their well-rehearsed emergency teams sped into action. Their center is run like a well-oiled machine; the doctors, nurses and aides all deserve the highest praise.
They did not ask for identification or inquire into my financial status. They just served.
To lose these trauma centers is to lose lives in all sectors of society.
Every driver should visit a physical therapy section of a trauma hospital and see the broken bodies--necks, backs, limbs, etc. They would not only fasten their seat belts and drive carefully, but they would cry out, loud and clear, “Save our trauma network.”
