Reagans to Attend Party for Media in Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara area residents will get a chance to catch a glimpse of President and Mrs. Reagan today as the couple leave their secluded ranch to attend an annual private party for the media.
The event will be held in the evening at the estate of wealthy industrialist Barney Klinger, and the Reagans are expected to arrive by a combination of motorcade and helicopter.
Under ground rules laid down by the White House, any remarks make by the President are off the record.
While national and local journalists and their families eat dinner and socialize, the Reagans are scheduled to appear for about an hour and shake hands and pose for pictures.
