Two teen-agers were booked today for investigation of murder and attempted murder for the burning death of a woman and injuries suffered by her 6-year-old daughter when she was set ablaze in the Carson area, sheriff’s deputies said.

The girls, ages 15 and 17, were believed to have helped Ted Perez, 30, and his companion, Glynnis McKinney, 26, who were arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of Perez’s wife, Rachel Perez, 29, and the burning of her daughter, Quiana Maria Cortinez. (Story, Part II, Page 1.) The names of the girls were not released because of their ages, and their exact roles in the two burnings were not immediately described.
