Worthy’s Contract Extended by Lakers
Forward James Worthy has signed a multi-year contract extension with the Lakers, the team announced Thursday. No terms were disclosed.
The 6-foot 9-inch Worthy, 26, averaged 19.4 points a game while starting all 82 games last season. He then averaged a team-leading 23.6 points in the playoffs as the Lakers won their second National Basketball Assn. title in the last three years.
