NEW YORK —
A teen-age suspect told police he was “just target-shooting” Tuesday when he sprayed an elevated subway train with gunfire.
Richard Ojeda, 18, of Brooklyn, was arrested after a house-to-house search of the neighborhood where the shooting occurred, authorities said. He was charged with reckless endangerment and assault in the attack on the train, in which one rider was wounded.
Fourteen bullets, apparently from a high-power automatic weapon, hit the first four cars.
