Agent Anthony F. Pennacchia, who has represented Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots players, was arraigned on morals and drug charges for an alleged incident involving two young girls Saturday.

Officials said the girls, 12 and 14, went to Pennacchia’s home in Cranston, R.I., on Saturday night for a “slumber party” with his own two daughters. Pennacchia’s daughters were not there, but police allege that Pennacchia supplied liquor to the girls, showed them pornographic films and fondled them.

Pennacchia, 43, was arraigned in Cranston District Court on four counts of second-degree sexual assault, two counts of second-degree child molestation, one count of possession of cocaine and one count of disorderly conduct. He pleaded not guilty.

A short time later, he was taken to the Providence Family Court where he pleaded not guilty on two charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He then was released on his own recognizance.

Pennacchia declined to comment following the court appearances, but his office said he would make a statement later. His lawyer, John Tramonti Jr., said he advised Pennacchia not to comment, but he quoted Pennacchia as saying, “I will be completely vindicated.”

Among players Pennacchia has represented are pitcher Tom Bolton, third baseman Wade Boggs and former infielder Butch Hobson of the Red Sox and wide receiver Stanley Morgan of the Patriots.
