Pasadena : Leaf Blower Action Delayed
A deadlocked Board of Directors failed to take action on a controversial proposal to ban the use of leaf blowers in the city and is scheduled to try again at its Sept. 14 meeting.
Only five of seven members were present at the board meeting on Monday, and neither supporters nor opponents of the proposal were able to muster a majority.
Gardeners have attacked the proposal because of restrictions it would place on their work. Homeowners support the proposal as a way to get rid of the noisy machines.
