The Air Force said it had successfully resumed testing of its new AMRAAM air-to-air missile after a month-long suspension prompted by an unexpected failure of the weapon. The service, in a brief statement, said testing of the missile resumed last Saturday with a trial at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, during which an AMRAAM successfully tracked and intercepted a jet-powered drone after being fired from an F-15 fighter.
