Jurors today recommended the death penalty for reputed gang member Keith (Ace Capone) Fudge, convicted of shooting to death five teen-age party goers on Oct. 12, 1984, in the single bloodiest incident of gang violence in Los Angeles history.

A Los Angeles Superior Court jury earlier this month convicted Fudge, 21, of five counts of first-degree murder with special circumstance allegations that qualified him for a possible death sentence. Superior Court Judge Ronald Cappai, who is not required to follow the jury’s recommendation, will formally sentence Fudge at a later date.
