The Dodgers Saturday traded left-handed pitcher Rick Honeycutt to the Oakland Athletics for a player to be named, a Dodgers spokesman said.

Honeycutt, 33, had a 2-12 record with a 4.59 ERA in 27 games with the Dodgers this year, including 20 starts. He has lost his last 11 decisions, a Los Angeles record and three shy of the all-time Dodgers record.

Honeycutt had a 33-45 record with the Dodgers after arriving in a trade from Texas in 1983. He had a 56-72 American League record with Seattle and Texas.

In another move, the Dodgers reactivated left-handed pitcher Brad Havens from the disabled list. Havens had been on an injury rehabilitation assignment at Albuquerque, recovering from a strained muscle in his left ribcage.

Havens went 0-1 with a 5.14 ERA in three games at Albuquerque.
