An opera based on the life of Ernest Hemingway and written by Soviet composer Yuri Kasarian will have its world premiere in Havana. Hemingway, who lived in Cuba for 20 years and wrote several of his works there, including “The Old Man and the Sea,” is revered by Cubans.
