Teen-Ager Grabs Snake to Win $100, Is Bitten
Associated Press
SAGINAW, Mich. —
A teen-ager was hospitalized after taking a $100 bet to grab a rattlesnake in a box, officials said.
Police said the rattler that Norman Wilson, 18, grabbed at a party Sunday bit his thumb, causing his wrist to swell.
Wilson was with friends at a house when a resident there brought out a box containing two rattlesnakes, police said. One person reportedly bet Wilson $100 that he could not reach in the box and grab a snake.
