Westwood : Conference on Children Slated
UCLA Extension and the UCLA School of Medicine will sponsor a conference on “Prevention of Mental Health Disturbances in Childhood” Oct. 9 to 11 at the Miramar Sheraton, 101 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica.
The conference is designed for pediatric and mental health professionals and for the public.
Dr. Michael B. Rothenberg, co-author with Dr. Benjamin Spock of “Dr. Spock’s Baby and Child Care,” will be keynote speaker. His subject will be “Child Advocacy: Using Public Policy to Prevent Mental Illness.”
Stephen E. Goldston, associate director of the UCLA Center for Preventive Psychiatry, is conference chairman.
