Delta Airliner Just Misses Collision With Light Plane

GRAPEVINE, Tex. —
A single-engine airplane flew within 300 feet of a Delta Air Lines jet over a Dallas suburb, forcing the Delta pilot to take evasive action to avoid a collision, aviation officials said Thursday. The incident Tuesday occurred at an altitude of about 9,000 feet, the Delta pilot reported.
