McCrimmon’s 2 Goals Pace Chapman, 3-2

Scott McCrimmon scored two goals in the first half Saturday to lead Chapman College to a 3-2 men’s soccer victory over Texas Christian in the consolation final of the Far West Classic at Seattle.
McCrimmon, a senior halfback from Newport Beach, gave the Panthers (2-1) a 1-0 lead at the 5:10 mark when he scored with an assist from Rick Snyder. Ramiro Alfaro made it 2-0 by heading in a cross pass from freshman Eric deJonge at 12:26. The Panthers gained a 3-0 lead on a penalty kick by McCrimmon, who was tripped by Texas Christian goalkeeper Marl Walgren at 44:04.
Panther goalkeeper Keri Bello had a shutout until 76:16, when Tim Deegan scored on a header. Deegan scored again at 79:00. Chapman held off Texas Christian while a man down for the final 10 minutes after Dave Schlom was ejected for arguing with an official.
