Continental Airlines will begin daily transcontinental nonstop...

Continental Airlines will begin daily transcontinental nonstop service from three California cities--San Jose, Ontario and San Diego--to its hub at Newark, N.J., on Oct. 15, with MaxSaver fares $147 one way. Continental also will start twice-daily, nonstop service between San Jose and Houston on Wednesday, along with four additional daily flights between Los Angeles and San Jose. MaxSaver fares between Houston and San Jose will be $122 one way.
