A Villa Park teen-ager was killed and her three passengers were injured Saturday night when her car struck a concrete freeway divider and overturned, authorities said Sunday.

Elle Anne Stemmler, 18, was traveling from the southbound Newport Freeway to the westbound Garden Grove Freeway in Orange at 10:25 p.m. when she apparently lost control of her vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The car slid sideways, struck a concrete curb and flipped over, ejecting Stemmler onto the left shoulder of the road, CHP investigators said. Stemmler died of head injuries, the Orange County Coroner’s office said.
